System Requirements

Browser

County Well Index Online web application requires the use of a standard web browser. We strongly recomend using one of the following browsers to view this application on Windows-based computers:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher
  • Netscape 4.7, 6.1 or higher
  • Mozilla 1.3 or higher

Screen Resolution

This application requires a minimum screen resolution of 1024 by 768 to display properly. We recommend a screen resolution of 1280 by 1024 or higher.

Popups

The County Well Index Online Viewer uses popup windows. You must disable any popup blocker on your browser in order for the County Well Index Online to work properly.

Microsoft Internet Explorer - Under Tools, select Pop-up Blocker, click Pop-up Blocker Settings.  This opens the Pop-up Blocker Settings menu.  Enter mdh-agua.health.state.mn.us for the Address of Web site to allow:, Click the Add button and then close the form by clicking the Close button.

Netscape - Under Tools, select Popup Manager, this should give you two choices: Allow Popups From This Site and Manage Popups.  Click Allow Popups From This Site, this will open the Allow Web Sites menu displaying the CWI Online web site (mdh-agua.health.state.mn.us).  Click the Add button and then the OK button.

Mozilla Firefox -  Under Tools, select Options, click Content .   By default popups are blocked.  Unchecking the Block pop-up windows option will disable popup blocking. To allow popups from CWI Online while blocking other popup windows, click the Allowed Sites button and enter mdh-agua.health.state.mn.us for the Address of web site:, click the Allow  button and then click the ok button.

Goolge Toolbar -  On the Google toolbar under Settings. select Options, click the More tab.  Uncheck Enable Popup Blocker and then click the OK button.

Important Notes

  • Resizing the County Well Index Online Viewer will reload the application.

  • The County Well Index Online Viewer does not support the use of the browser "Back" and "Forward" buttons.

  • The County Well Index Online web mapping application is data intensive and my be slow to load, depending upon your connection speed, please be patient.
